Recall Issued For 1.2 Million Aquarium Heaters
Roughly 1.2 million aquarium heaters are being recalled nationwide because of a wiring problem.
According to the CPSC, the wiring problem with Marineland Stealth and Stealth Pro Aquarium Heaters can cause them to overheat or break, which can damage the aquarium. Overheating may cause the heater to shatter or the aquarium glass to break.
So far, 38 reports of fires, which damaged property, and 45 reports of aquarium glass breaking have been reported to United Pet Group, which imports the heaters.
In addition to those reports, one person suffered an eye injury when the heater broke.
