Suspect arrested after man found with gunshot wound to the leg in Moon Township

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg in Moon Township. 

Police say that 911 dispatchers were notified of a shooting along Abbott Street just after midnight on Tuesday.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot in the leg. It was later determined the victim had been shot multiple times, according to a media release given Tuesday morning.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital and was last listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the department's General Investigations Unit are handling the investigation.

Allegheny County police have since charged an Ambridge man in connection with the shooting.

Gregory Slade, 36, allegedly fired several shots at the victim while he and the victim were inside a home with others. Detectives discovered several spent rounds of ammunition and a firearm, the release added.

Slade was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault. He remains in the Allegheny County Jail.
