Ticket deals, giveaways, and promotions at PNC Park this Pirates season | Frugal Friday

The Pittsburgh Pirates begin their home schedule today at 4:12, and amid the excitement of Konnor Griffin, new eats, and so much more, going to every single game can hit you pretty hard in the wallet. So, here are some ways you can save money while taking yourself out to the ball game.

How can I save money on tickets?

The Pirates have plenty of ways for you to save on tickets.

For most games, the team offers senior, student, and military discounts with valid IDs.

Also, if you're a Giant Eagle Advantage Card holder or you have a PNC Park debit card, there are discounts on tickets for having both.

Stadium food is expensive. Are there other options?

It's no secret that going to professional sports games often means spending a lot of money on food, drinks, and alcohol.

However, the Pirates do offer multiple options for you to save on food.

The first are the ever-popular "All You Can Eat Seats." Tickets in sections 201-205 include unlimited hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, and soft drinks.

The full details about the All You Can Eat Seats are on the Pirates website, right here

If you're not looking for all you can eat, just some lunch, the Pirates also have their Lunch With the Bucs tickets, which are available for home games with a 12:35 p.m. first pitch.

Each time comes with a $12 "loaded value" that includes a credit for food, drink, and merchandise.

Finally, select Thursday games at PNC Park will be Sugardale Dollar Dog games, when hot dogs at select concession stands will be $1. The full schedule of games can be found at this link

Promotions, giveaways, and theme nights at PNC Park

The Pirates have a jam-packed promotional schedule this year that includes theme nights, giveaways, and fireworks.

One of the most anticipated giveaways this season will be Saturday, April 18, when all fans will get a Paul Skenes Cy Young bobblehead.

The extremely popular Bucco Luau Weekend will be back this year on Friday, June 12, through Sunday, June 14.

Of course, it wouldn't be a baseball summer in Pittsburgh without fireworks, and there will be eight Zambelli firework shows.
