Do Women Firefighters Have What It Takes?
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -- Victoria H. Bozic, of Clinton, has been entrenched in a two-year battle with the Washington County Court System after being fired for not meeting the area's residency requirements. However, Bozic is suing the county because she believes that sexism is at the root of the county's resistance to hire her and subsequent firing.
KDKA Radio's Robert Mangino and his callers discuss this particular case and on a broader range, women firefighters in general. Mangino believes that the system is flawed and standards for firefighters are too low at the status quo.
