Dixon Recaps 'A Great Win'
Morgantown, W.Va. (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt Panthers head coach Jamie Dixon spoke after his team beat West Virginia 71-66 on Monday night.
Dixon said it was "a great win" for his team despite not having leading scorer Ashton Gibbs. He was impressed with his team's defense, especially on the boards. Pitt out-rebounded the Mountaineers 40-28 including 18 offensive rebounds compared to only eight by WVU.
Dixon said his team prepared within 24 hours for West Virginia after knowing Gibbs would be out. He expects his team to be ready for Saturday's game at Villanova with or without Gibbs.
