Alleged Robber Steals $5K, Leaves ID Behind
Two elderly sisters were threatened with a steel rod and robbed of thousands of dollars.
Now an arrest warrant is out for 24 year-old Mark Kattaron.
The sisters, who live on a rural road in German Township, Fayette County, are 88 and 90-years-old.
"I was mad you know - 88 and 90 years old - that's a shame," said neighbor David Horne. He fixed the glass that the robber broke to get in.
"He held - I don't know if was a crowbar or something metal she said over top of her head and said 'Give me your money!'"
The woman said they had no money, but police say Kattaron grabbed a purse with $5,000 cash inside.
Police say he wore gloves and a mask, but slipped up by leaving a PA photo ID behind on the back porch. Kattaron reportedly lives up the street and had been in the house before.
Police are investigating whether the robbery Monday night could be connected to an incident Tuesday morning, also in German Township. A man came home to find two men in his house who kicked and punched in the face before they left.
