4-1-Zoo: Pitt No. 11 In Preseason Coaches Poll

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- The first preseason college basketball poll is out and Pitt is just outside of the top 10.

In the USA Today/Coaches Poll, Pitt was pick 11th with 471 votes. The Panthers finished last season ranked No. 12.

North Carolina came in an overwhelming No. 1 with 30 first-place votes. Kentucky came in at No. 2, receiving one first-place vote.

UConn is the top-ranked Big East team at No. 4 and Syracuse falls not far behind at No. 5. Louisville is also ranked in the top 10 at No. 8.

Marquette is ranked 21st and Cincinnati 22nd as other Big East schools in the preseason top 25.
