Like humans, as dogs age, their hair/fur can turn gray, especially around their muzzles. If the dog is over 5 years old, that's a part of the natural aging process. Premature graying is another thing. This kind of graying can be due to a dog's breed, or other times due to stress. Pennsylvania SPCA animal advocate Carol Erickson has the signs you should look out for and how you can help ease your dog's anxiety.
