Four Indicted In Death Of Wilmington High School Student
WILMINGTON, DE (CBS) -- A Delaware grand jury indicted three men and a woman in connection with the murder of a Wilmington high school student.
15-year-old Brandon Wingo was shot as he walked home from school on May 19th on the 900 block of Clifford Brown Walk. The young man was taken to Christiana Hospital and died as a result of his injuries
Prosecutors say Kevon Harris-Dickerson, Zaahir Smith, and Diamonte Taylor were gang members, and Brandon's killing was an act of gang violence.
A Wilmington woman Latasha Pierce was indicted on weapons and conspiracy charges.
Family members say Wingo was a freshman at Howard High School in Wilmington and played varsity basketball. His hoop dreams were taken from him in broad daylight.
