Mercer Street Friends Holds Final Food Distribution Event For Summer
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- Mercer Street Friends is holding its final food distribution event for the summer. Chopper 3 was over the food giveaway Friday and spotted many people are waiting in line to receive bags of non-perishable foods as well as fresh eggs and vegetables.
Since March 20, Mercer Street Friends and partners have distributed nearly 32,000 food bags.
Each bag holds 16 meals for a family of four.
