Local Man Goes For Grant To Help Foster Kids

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A North Philadelphia businessman is vying for a grant to provide foster kids with personalized and informational gifts and he needs the public's help.

Anthony "Tony" Hudgins is President of ACH Services LLC, a carpet restoration services company on North 5th Street. They feature a product called KeepSake Carpets.

Hudgins created these inspirational custom-made carpet mats for his children when they were young and they have kept them into adulthood.  Hudgins thought they would be great for foster children:

"They live in a lot of uncertainty and to be able to, no matter where they transition to, have something they can call their own and be able to identify with becomes very important to them."

You can vote for Hudgins' idea by logging on to refresheverything.com and entering KeepSake carpets in the search block. Pepsi is giving away $1.3 million in community grants.
