KYW's Local Legends: Vivian and Wesley Norton, Joe Ritvalsky
Vivian and Wesley Norton of North Philadelphia and Joe Ritvalsky of Gilbertsville, Pa. taught water safety courses for the American Red Cross for more than 25 years.
Wesley Norton says it hasn't stopped there:
"I teach music for a nonprofit on Saturdays, and there are a bunch of kids roaming around the world who have benefited from that instruction."
Joe Ritvalsky:
"It's very rewarding to know you've done it."
Vivian Norton:
"We hope that by teaching people to be healthier and have fun in the water, then we've done what we were supposed to do."
