Driver Plows Into Two Homes, Including Their Own, In Bucks County
LEVITTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- According to police, a driver crashed into two homes in Levittown on Thursday. It was a chaotic scene in a Bucks County neighborhood.
The woman drove into a home on Indian Red Road. She then attempted to reverse her vehicle and wound up crashing it into a second home across the street. The second house was her home.
It was a frigid night throughout the region, especially to be without a wall. That was the shocking situation that Dan Phelps found himself in. "I had to rush home and come home to this," he said.
He returned to his home to discover that neighbor had crashed her car directly through his living room and the couch where he would have been sitting, had he been home. A friend called him from work.
"I didn't really believe it until my neighbor told me," Phelps said.
Police explained that once the driver reversed into Phelps' home, she then tried to correct herself, throwing her car into drive and in turn, hitting her own house across the street.
"I pulled up as the lady across the street, she was in her house in the vehicle," said Scott Davne.

Originally, I looked across the street and saw a car in a home," said Earl New of Paul Davis Restoration. "As I backed up, I saw some ruckus behind me and I turned around and there was a gaping hole in another home and I'm like wait a second, I've been doing this a long time and I've never seen anything like this."
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. We're told that a family member was inside the driver's residence when the car crashed through, but they were able to avoid injury. "They heard the crash, then saw the car coming and jumped out of the way," said New.
Luckily, Phelps' home was empty which it will be on Thursday night as he finds somewhere else warm to stay.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, including whether alcohol was involved.
