Dodgers Favorites, Phillies Longshots To Win 2014 World Series
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – For the first time in a long time, people are not expecting much from the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Phillies are 33/1 longshots to win the 2014 World Series, according to the most recent odds released by Bovada. This follows two disappointing seasons that led to the firing of manager Charlie Manuel.
The Dodgers are the favorites to win the 2014 World Series at 7/1 odds, followed by the Tigers at 9/1, and the 2013 champion Red Sox at 10/1.
If Phillies fans have anything to be glad about, it's that they're not the longest shots in the National League East. Even though the Nationals are 10 and Braves are 16/1, the Mets are 75/1, and the Miami Marlins are 200/1.
