Classic Cars Coming to Cherry Hill, NJ
by KYW's John Ostapkovich
If you like classic and antique cars, mark Friday, July 9th on your calendar, because there's a big show of them in Cherry Hill.
A 1966 Pontiac GTO is to be one of the 100 cars gathered Friday, July 9th, from 4pm until 7pm on the grounds of American Collectors Insurance on Kings Highway North in Cherry Hill. Not only is the show and tell at the beginning of summer, says company spokeswomen Koren Rife, (a great season for driving), but comes on National Collector Car Appreciation Day:
"The US Senate did just pass recognition of the day because collectable vehicles play such an important role in American society, and so we wanted to make sure that we acknowledge the special day and have a party for it."
Rife says they're pretty much full up on show cars, but spectators are welcome to come and browse among the metallic memories. That, she says, is why cars (and the other collectables the firm insures) mean so much to us, as touchstones to times past.
