Breaking Down The Buffalo Bills

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles will be home on Sunday for a very big game with the Buffalo Bills.

Chip Kelly's squad is just 5-7, but in the bizarro world that is this year's NFC East, that earns them a piece of first place along with the Redskins and Giants.

Buffalo has a better record than the Eagles at 6-6, but in the AFC East that is only good enough for third place. They are a game behind the second place Jets, four games behind the pace setting New England Patriots.

The talk this week has been centered on the return of LeSean McCoy to Philadelphia, but the running back is just one piece of a Buffalo offense that has proven quite dangerous this season. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor has played efficient football, throwing 17 touchdowns with just four interceptions. Wide receiver Sammy Watkins missed three games earlier in the season with an injury, but he has 34 catches for 635 yards and six touchdowns. He's been exceptional the last two weeks, catching nine passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns.

With Rex Ryan as head coach you would expect defense to be a strength for the Bills, but that unit has struggled at times this season and they will be missing their top corner on Sunday, Stephon Gilmore, because of injury.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Howard Simon from WGR Radio in Buffalo to get some insight into the Bills.
