Why Trump's request to give his own closing argument in New York fraud trial was rejected

Closing arguments begin Thursday in Donald Trump's New York civil fraud trial. The judge overseeing the case was initially going to let the former president give his own closing argument if he agreed to certain conditions, but the request was denied when Trump failed to agree to those conditions.
