It's the final chapter in a troubling case of illegal dumping -- a case prosecutors say caused an environmental catastrophe in Suffolk County.
Opening statements were made Tuesday, in a highly publicized case of alleged toxic dumping on Long Island.
The six also include two businessmen and local contractors. The 32-count indictment includes charges of criminal mischief, conspiracy and numerous environmental violations.
