The family of Louis Germosen have been virtually camped out at Hempstead Lake State Park since Sunday after receiving cryptic text messages.
State park police have made an arrest in connection with the stabbing at Hempstead Lake State Park last month.
It happened at Hempstead Lake State Park, which is not too far from Hempstead High School.
Several people were stabbed in a machete attack in a park on Long Island.
The birds have been spotted in Hempstead Lake State Park for the past two months. They're two adults and a younger bird believed to be their offspring.
