Alex Trebek, the iconic host of the television game show "Jeopardy!", died after a battle with pancreatic cancer, the show announced Sunday.
The legendary game show host said that some of his tumors have shrunk by more than 50 percent since he revealed he was battling stage-4 pancreatic cancer.
Trebek made the announcement in a video, saying he plans to beat the cancer despite its low survival rate statistics.
Alex Trebek has announced that he's taking time off to rest following brain surgery.
The interaction sparked a massive social media response which left Jeopardy's Facebook page peppered with comments from people who were also bothered by the way the boy was treated.

Everyone makes mistakes now and then, even the writers at "Jeopardy!" Tuesday's mistake had to do with one of the New York City area's many grand bridges.
It's the size of 10 refrigerators, and it swallows encyclopedias whole, but an IBM computer was lacking one thing it needed to battle the greatest champions from the "Jeopardy!'' quiz show.
