Where To Eat Near Macy's Fourth Of July Fireworks
Everyone knows about the Macy's Fireworks Show but where are the best places to grab a bite before or even during the show? Here are five places that are celebrating the 4th of July with a bang (and some seriously delicious bites). By Carly Petrone.

Reserve your spot at Industry Kitchen on 4th of July and sit back and watch the Macy's Fireworks display along the water's edge. From 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. you can enjoy a premium open bar and buffet that includes cold selections like Grilled Apricots, Burrata, Country Ham and Arugula as well as Pancetta Wrapped Asparagus with Citronette. Don't get too filled up because hot selections include Mint and Spice Lamb Sausage, Grilled Striped Bass with Tomato Confit, Gorgonzola, Fig, and Pancetta Pizza and much more. Take in the stunning views of the East River with the Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges and Brooklyn Skyline from the historic South Street Seaport. Tickets for reserved seating are $238 and $175 for bar seating.

Have dinner along a floating restaurant this July 4th holiday. Manhattan by Sail is offering a one-of-a-kind experience aboard the massive Clipper City Tall ship or the elegant Shearwater Classic Schooner that will allow you to see the fireworks light up the sky over the East River. Nosh on a fully catered gourmet BBQ menu and take advantage of the open bar – including specialty themed cocktails like the Blue "Justice" (Blue Cosmo) or the White Innocence (White Absolute Pear and lemonade). Enjoy Tequila-lime shrimp skewers with cilantro dip and Mini-mini brioche of filet mignon with roasted peppers and caramelized onion as you cruise past the Brooklyn Bridge, Governor's Island, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. Try the Southern Fried Chicken with Buttermilk Slaw or BBQ Ribs with corn and zucchini bread before satisfying your sweet tooth. The Red,White, and Blue All American Cheesecake with strawberries and blueberries is by far the most patriotic option. Cruise starts at 5:30 p.m. and lasts four and half hours. Make your way to Brooklyn Bridge Garden Bar for a 4th of July picnic and view of the fireworks. For $175 you can enjoy a picnic buffet and three beverages starting at 6 p.m. Nibble on chips and dip and vegetable crudité before moving onto the main courses for the evening – picnic basket chicken, slow smoked pulled pork, crayfish rolls, and BBGB sliders. Pair these with sides like corn on the cob, apple cider cole slaw, old-fashioned red dill potato salad, and corn and black eyed pea salad. Sit back and enjoy the show!

Get your grub on at the Brooklyn Grange atop the Brooklyn Navy Yard! This 4th of July, relax on the rooftop farm and enjoy an All American dinner while sipping on locally brewed Brooklyn Brewery beer. Starting at 7 p.m. you can enjoy 12-Hour Smoked Pulled Pork, Nashville Style "Not so Hot" Fried Chicken, and all the fixings (including baked 5 cheese mac and cheese and collard greens) from Peaches Hothouse. Make sure you grab a triple chocolate brownie or butter pound cake before the fireworks start at 9 p.m. Then, dance the night away from 9:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. and have yourself a night to remember. If you're looking for a place without a cover and one awesome view than make your way to Surf City Bar in Jersey City. Put your feet in the sand, grab a cocktail, and watch the fireworks burst from the New York Harbor. Doors open at 12 p.m. so you can grab some lunch and stay all day in order to beat the crowds. Share appetizers like Sweet Chili Shrimp ($8.99), Artichoke Spinach Dip ($8.99) or Buffalo Chicken Wings ($9.95). They've also got plenty of seafood dishes to choose from like Lemon Pepper Crusted Tilapia ($15.99) with pineapple mint salsa, Steamed Clams and Frites ($17.99) with garlic, shallot butter, and white wine, and a New England Clambake - perfect for two. Grab a beer or specialty frozen cocktail - like the Miami Vice (layered pina colada and strawberry daiquiri) or Surf City Sunrise (strawberry, margarita, and tequila)- - and get ready to watch the show! Head over by light rail or Path train. Parking is also available for $20.
