Sprague Energy Opens New Biodiesel Terminal In Newark
NEWARK, NJ (WCBS 880) -- A Westchester-based energy company has gone green in Newark.
It used to be that restaurants didn't know what to do with their used cooking oil, pouring it into the sewer system or into the garbage.
But now, there's biodiesel which uses cooking oil and Sprague Energy has opened a commercial biodiesel terminal in Newark's industrial/shipping area.
"Renewable energy and the key is that it helps people reduce their carbon footprint. But more importantly, we all talk about being sustainable. This is a true avenue of being sustainable," said Sprague's managing director Steven Levy.
