LIRR Service Partially Suspended Due To Garbage Facility Fire In Westbury
WESTBURY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A massive fire at a garbage facility in Westbury caused LIRR service to be partially suspended Wednesday night.
Service was suspended in both directions between Hicksville and Jamaica on the Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson branches.
Dozens of firefighters were at the scene battling the flames.
There are no reports of any injuries, and there's no word on what caused the fire.
