Police: Man Tried To Shove Bag Of Poop Down Woman's Pants On Upper East Side

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man came up to a woman and tried to shove a bag of feces down her pants on the Upper East Side this week, police said.

Around 6 p.m. Monday, a 27-year-old woman was walking along 74th Street between First and York Avenues, when the suspect came up to her from behind, grabbed her waist, and tried to shove the bag of feces down the woman's pants, police said.

The man also grabbed the woman's buttocks, police said.

It was not known if the feces in the bag were from a person or animal, sources said.

Police released surveillance video showing the woman struggling with the man and escaping. The man appears to pull off a glove and throw it into the street as he runs off.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
