National Weather Service Confirms Tornado Touched Down In Morris County, New Jersey

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The National Weather Service confirms a tornado did touch down during storms overnight in New Jersey.

They say the EF-0 twister hit Rockaway Township in Morris County.

Some damage was left behind in backyards and on streets.

Tornado warnings were issued in multiple counties late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning as severe thunderstorms rolled through.
