Tips From International Beauty Show On Cutting Time Off Your Beauty Regime

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Need a few extra minutes to get ready in the morning?

CBS2's Meg Baker discovered new beauty shortcuts Monday at the International Beauty Show at the Javits Center.

Beauty experts dished on their hair, skin and nail secrets, and showed off the new gadgets and products to cut your beauty routine in half.

Starting with new materials, Lisa Marie said when it comes to straighteners -- in addition to ceramic -- look for rose gold-plated tools.

"Ceramic provides moist heat, so it's got the best of both worlds," Lisa Marie said.

To save money and time, look for tools that multi-task, like a straightener that doubles as a curling iron.

Say It Ain't So, a cordless flatiron, charges anywhere, even in your car.

"Even if I am headed out the door, like in my car I can just do a really quick touch up; at the gym, in the morning," Lisa Marie said.

No time for a manicure each week? Here's a quick and affordable solution:

"Static nails -- it's the world's first and only reusable manicure, which means you can literally take this nail off and reapply it up to six different times," said Alexis Irene.

They come in multiple colors and designs to fit any occasion, Baker reported.

To create a flawless complexion in minutes, Eve Pearl says it's all about contouring.

"This is a Flawless Palette. It's got everything in here, all in one shot," Eve Pearl said as she showcased a makeup kit.

Pearl demonstrated the two-step process with Baker as her guinea pig.

And believe it or not, one hair dryer at the beauty show leaves your hair smelling like roses.
