NEW YORK (CBS 2) – On a frigid day, there are some great indoor events good for the whole family.

1. Lunar New Year Arts Festival
When: Sunday, Jan. 23 noon – 5 p.m.
Where: Childrens Museum of the Arts in Soho
Tickets: Free with museum admission
Description: The Year of the Rabbit has arrived, meaning it's time for young party animals to revel in a celebration of Chinese art, music and dance. Children participate in workshops throughout the day, including one in which they'll make dragon sculptures out of paper. Ages 5 and up.
2. David Weinstone and the Music for Aardvarks Band
When: Sunday, Jan. 23 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m.
Where: The Jewish Museum
Upper East Side
Tickets: $16, children $11
Description: New Yorker David Weinstone, who founded the wildly popular Music for Aardvarks kids' classes, performs catchy songs about the lives of urban tots, including "Taxi" and the hilarious "Belly Button Song." Also listen up for a few ditties that honor trees in celebration of the Jewish holiday Tu B'Shvat. Ages 2 to 5.
3. If You Give A Cat A Cupcake
When: Saturday, Jan. 22 11 a.m., 2 p.m.
Where: Symphony Space

Description: This production of Laura Numeroff's popular children's book comes courtesy of the Omaha Theater Company, the third largest children's theater in the country. The tuner showcases a mischievous feline's adventures and original music. Ages 2 to 8.
