It goes without saying New Yorkers love bagels, and a recently opened West Village shop is capitalizing on the notion with a newly developed bagel treat. Bantam Bagels  pump their ball-shaped bagel bites with cream cheese on the inside. This month's featured bagel is the Jack, a pumpkin spiced bagel filled with pumpkin cream cheese and topped with spooky sesame seeds. This sweet, not savory, bagel and cream cheese combination will change the way you start your mornings this October.

This cozy cupcakery opened in Astoria during the spring seasom to the delight of neighbors. To celebrate Halloween, they're offering festively orange and black decorated chocolate Cake Pops and Cupcake Push Pops. All of their expertly frosted cupcakes are creatively named after television and film hits, possibly due to their close proximity to the stars and crew working at Kaufman Astoria Studios, like the popular Breakfast Club, a French Toast Cupcake with maple-infused vanilla buttercream frosting and topped with candied maple bacon. Another sweet they've mastered is the Chocolate Chip Nutella Sandwich Cookie, which we've recently discovered is a must-order for their soft, chewy texture with a creamy filling.

Need the perfect treat to bring to a themed party? Pick up a set of Sprinkles Cupcakes "BOO Box" with Vanilla Milk Chocolate, Red Velvet, Black and White and Caramel Apple cupcakes with Sprinkles ghost and BOO sugar decorations and sweetly sealed with a BOO Spooky Cupcakes sticker. They're available now until October 31st. You can order this set online or stop by their Upper East Side shop to pick and choose cupcakes of your choice.

In time for the holidays, Max Brenner has chocolate for all occasions, including Halloween 9-piece bonbons and Thanksgiving Tins with caramelized pecans, just to name two sweet offerings. Stop by the restaurant and chocolate shop in Union Square for a savory meal with the sweetest ending then browse the store offerings on your way out or order these seasonal sweets online to arrive in time for the holidays.

A bag of these one-inch candy corn cookies is sure to spoil any trick-or-treater. These two or three bite shortbread cookies are made-to-order in the Downtown Cookie Co. kitchen and are preservative free. You can order these brightly colored themed sweets online or grab them around the city as they're available at various locations including Ninth Street Espresso in the East Village and Birch Coffee.

Banana Pudding and the Chocolate Bomb Pudding are available year-round at this favorite Lower East Side bakery, but only in the autumn months does the pumpkin pudding make its grand entrance. Dig your spoon into crumbled pumpkin cake, whipped cream and eggnog pudding. And don't forget their Pumpkin Cupcake with cream cheese frosting is available every season, when you need that pumpkin fix during the warmer months.

Magnolia's Pumpkin Patch Minis are sold by the dozen, featuring chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with orange-tinted vanilla buttercream, topped with a green buttercream stem for an adorably sweet snack bite. They'll also be offering Classic Halloween Cupcakes available in vanilla or chocolate, topped with Halloween decorations and iced in Fright Night Halloween colors and BOO Cupcakes of rich devil's food cake with orange-tinted white chocolate truffle filling, topped with velvety chocolate ganache inscribed with "BOO!" These sweets go on sale in store on October 25, just in time to celebrate.
