Movie starts at dusk with free entertainment beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Watch a film in Bryant Park tonight! Howard Rollins Jr. and Denzel Washington star in A Soldier's Story, the murder mystery set on a Louisiana military base in the 1940s. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture and Best Screenplay when it came out in 1984. Stake out your spot on the lawn starting at 5 p.m. Screening starts just after sunset.

The 13th Annual New York Asian Film Festival is in full swing at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Tonight, two films will be premiered including the much buzzed about Han Gong-ju, which has been praised by Martin Scorsese as well as panels of judges from film festivals around the world. It tells the story of a high school girl in South Korea who is trying to escape the horrors of her past. A Q&A with director Lee Su-jin will immediately follow. Stick around to watch Blind Massage, directed by Lou Ye. This innovative movie follows the lives of blind employees of a massage center in Nanjing, giving us a glimpse into a world where light and darkness lose their usual meaning. Screenings begin at 6 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. respectively. Tickets are $13 for adults, $9 for students/seniors, $8 for members.
