NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Stevie Wonder performed a free pop-up concert at SummerStage in Central Park tonight.
The event was free, but required tickets, which lasted for less than a minute.
The concert is part of a news conference promoting Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life Performance" tour.

As CBS2's Matt Kozar reported, it was the third free show of the day for the legendary singer.
The D.C. Office of Motion Picture and Television Development says Wonder performed a few songs at the D.C. Armory Mall on Monday. The first 1,000 people got doughnuts.
Live Nation Vice President of Booking Ted Mankin tells WTOP-FM that Wonder will perform in Philadelphia too.

Diehard fans were lined up near the stage, glued to their smartphones waiting to get their tickets.
"His albums from the 70s, there was just Stevie Wonder," Tony Rodriguez said.
When asked what his favorite song was the singer answered, "I haven't written it yet."
Wonder will return to New York City to play Madison Square Garden on Nov. 24, 2015.
