The woman's 52-year-old boyfriend Moises Martinez was taken into custody on Sunday, he was eventually charged with Second Degree Murder and Manslaughter.

Sources told D'Auria that officers saw the suspect's livery cab parked on the sidewalk right outside his apartment.

When he failed to move his cab, the officers asked to speak with the woman.

Sources said the suspect told officers they couldn't because he had killed her, and then pointed to the large container in the apartment, D'Auria reported.

According to police, an argument took place before officers were called to the scene around 5:40 Sunday morning.

It's believed the woman was strangled, D'Auria reported.

A neighbor said the victim should have left her boyfriend.

"She's a young woman and I always told her 'stay away.' He had control of her," one woman told D'Auria.

Other neighbors told D'Auria the suspect has a wife and four children, who are currently in Florida.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
