Somers' Monologue: Devils Suspend The Sadness
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Hey, what an exciting night for the Devils!
When the Kings scored to tie Game 4 right after New Jersey took their first lead of the series -- that's right, the series -- Steve Somers started to get down in the dumps.
He said to himself, " 'You know, if the Devils are going to be embarrassed and humiliated by losing four straight, I would probably pay with my appetite and a good night's sleep. And then the long offseason.' "
But the Devils suspended the sadness, thanks to Adam Henrique.
They suspended the depression.
They avoided the embarrassment and humiliation of losing in four to the LA Kings in the Stanley Cup finals.
Good luck with the next game...
