Plane Crashes Off Long Island Coast, 2 Taken To Hospital
SHOREHAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A small plane has crashed off the shores of Long Island.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Beech BE36 plane went down off the coast near Shoreham in Suffolk County at around 1:25 p.m.
The FAA says the pilot reported having engine power problems before the crash.
There were two people on board the plane at the time of the incident, police said. Both were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say the plane sank.
