Search On For Man Who Stole Purse At Staten Island CVS Drugstore

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Sunday were searching for a suspect who stole a woman's purse at a Staten Island CVS drugstore.

Around 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, the 20-year-old woman was in the CVS at 250 Page Ave., in the Tottenville section of Staten Island, when the suspect stole her purse from a countertop and ran off in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as a heavy-set white male wearing a baseball cap, a jacket, a white polo shirt, jeans and sneakers, police said. He had a black bag strapped around his chest.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.
