New York Weather: 11/30 CBS2 Saturday Forecast, Widespread Winter Storm Expected Sunday

Hope you enjoyed the bright skies and dry conditions today, because tomorrow will be a whole 'nother story! Tonight stays dry but with increasing clouds and cold temps in the 20s to around freezing.

Tomorrow will start off with clouds and a risk for a wintry mix of sleet, rain, and snow advancing from the west. After the noon hour, it appears that a change to rain occurs for NYC and points south and east, and stays rain for a good chunk of the night. For the north and west burbs, expect more in the way of snow or snow/sleet mix.

Monday will be a potentially more significant day as colder air gets drawn into the region, and a changeover to snow looks possible for most of the region...even into parts of the City. The most significant snowfall looks to stay confined well north and west, but NYC and immediate surrounding areas could get a slushy few inches.

The New York Department of Sanitation has issued a snow alert starting at 3 a.m. Sunday, which means the DSNY will coordinate with New York City Emergency Management and the Department of Transportation on snow clearing protocol.

As of now, both Sunday and Monday will have travel impacts, with Monday seeing much of the potential snow accumulation.

American Airlines announced travel waivers for passengers traveling through the northeast, and Delta Airlines is waiving fees for flight changes or cancellations.
