Sailboat Operator In Distress Turns Away Coast Guard Help Off Bradley Beach
BRADLEY BEACH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - A man on shore spotted a sailboat in distress off New Jersey's Bradley Beach on Sunday.
When rescuers arrived, the man on board refused to take a life preserver and a radio.
There was also a language barrier as he spoke only Italian.
He eventually managed to re-anchor his sailboat and the Coast Guard crew left.
