Report: Nets To Open Season Against Knicks In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (WFAN) - The Nets' first regular-season opponent in the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be the cross-town rival Knicks, according to Newsday, citing league sources. Both teams open the 2012-13 campaign with that Nov. 1 matchup, which also will be televised nationally on TNT, the sources said.
It will be the first of four meetings between the Knicks and Nets.
Newsday also reported that the Knicks will have their home opener against the Miami Heat on Nov. 2.
As Atlantic Division rivals, the Nets and Knicks will play against each other four times this season. NBA TV will announce the entire 2012-2013 schedule Thursday at 7 p.m.
