Remains Of Missing Queens Flight Attendant Found Off Rikers Island
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Police have found the body of a flight attendant from Queens who had been missing since January.
Sierra Shields, 30, was last seen leaving LaGuardia Airport on January 14.
Her remains were found on Wednesday on the shoreline of Rikers Island. Authorities later determined it matched Shields' identity.
The Astoria resident was a flight attendant for Shuttle America. The last person to speak to Shields was her supervisor at the airport. Shields reportedly quit her job and walked out, leaving her belongings behind.
There is no word yet on the cause of death.
