Sinkhole Shuts Down Brand New Playground In Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A brand new playground in Queens has been padlocked because of a sinkhole.
The community playground at P.S. 305 in Ridgewood, Queens was only a few days old Wednesday.
Btu the ground under the jungle gym was already collapsing.
CBS2 asked the New York City Department of Education whether the contractor who built the playground would have to pay to fix it. The DOE could not say.
Repairs are planned for next week.
