Queens Man Charged With Murder After Mom Found Stabbed To Death
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Queens man is facing murder charges after his mother was found stabbed to death inside her apartment.
On Monday, police were called to an apartment on Shorefront Parkway where 60-year-old Sylvia Scott was found stabbed multiple times in the torso, the NYPD said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, police charged the victim's 35-year-old son Lonnie Scott with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
A motive for the killing is not known.
The investigation is ongoing.
