NYPD: Arrest Made After Woman Robbed By Man With Hatchet In Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man is facing robbery and other charges after police said he attacked and robbed a woman last weekend in Queens.
The 23-year-old victim said a man with a hatchet came up behind her and dragged her to the ground before running away with her bag, police said. It happened at 11:30 p.m. Saturday near Woodside Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue.
Moises Fernandez, 42, of Queens, was arrested in connection with the incident Friday.
Police said he is charged with robbery, grand larceny and menacing.
