NEW YORK (WLNY) -- October marks the eighth annual Bullying Prevention Month and many professional athletes are lending their voices to the anti-bullying movement.
Former NFL player Sean James produced a PSA on the campaign, called 'Be In The Know About Bullying.'
He joined us on The Couch to tell us about the initiative.
As James said, the curriculum is a way to teach children how to act toward each other and be leaders.
"We focus so much on data and test scores. The reality is, something that organically, naturally would happen -- in the sense of kids being able to interact, kids understanding what kindness is, having the real life skills of having what it takes to be good people -- is gone," James said. "My program...gives this back to children. [It] gives them to skill set to be kind people."
