Port Chester Police Looking Into Whether Cold Played Part In Man's Death
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Police in Port Chester are looking into whether the brutally cold temperatures played a part in the death of a man found behind a school Friday morning.
Chief Richard Conway of the Port Chester Police Department said they got a call around 7:30 a.m.
"Upon arrival, patrol units and EMS personnel discovered the partially clothed body of a 31-year-old Port Chester man," he told WCBS 880's Monica Miller.

The victim was found in an alleyway adjacent to the Corpus Christi Holy Rosary School. Conway said he was partially dressed, which could be a sign of hypothermia.
"They call it paradoxical undressing, it is a symptom in about 50 percent of hypothermia cases" he said.
Conway is urging everyone to find shelter during the cold snap.
"And if they see anybody who exhibits the signs of hypothermia, you know mental confusion, loss of motor skills, you know, call us and we'll get them medical attention," he said.
