Polo Player & Model Nacho Figuras Co-Hosts Event To Benefit Liberty State Park
NEW YORK (WLNY) -- For many, he is the face of polo -- the game known as the sport of kings.
But Nacho Figueras is also helping to make the sport more mainstream as well, using it to promote good causes. Including the annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, benefitting the rebuilding of Liberty State Park, which was damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
Figueras is co-hosting the event.
"We are in love with the park, we think it's the best possible place for the event," he said. "Hurricane Sandy really damaged the park, so we thought it would be a great thing to actually use some of the money that we're raising to rebuild the park to make sure the park stays beautiful for everybody to go enjoy."
