NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Friday were asking for help from the public in finding two suspects who allegedly attacked woman while making anti-gay comments in the Bronx last month.
Around 2:30 a.m. July 23, the suspects followed a woman into a deli at 395 E. 149th St., in the Melrose section of the Bronx, police said.
The suspects punched the woman in the face and body while making anti-gay comments, police said. She suffered lacerations to her lip and ear.
Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects.
Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
