Police: Suspect Shot Man In The Face In Fordham Section Of The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were seeking a suspect in a shooting that left a man wounded in the face in the Bronx.

The shooting happened at 3:36 p.m. Tuesday in front of 2273 Morris Ave. near 183rd Street in the Fordham section of the Bronx, police said.

The suspect shot the 38-year-old man once in the face and fled north on Morris Avenue, police said.

Police told DNAInfo the suspect walked into a bodega with a gun drawn, and he and the victim began to fight. The fight spilled out onto the sidewalk, where the suspect shot the victim, police said.

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, police said.
