Police Say Missing Brooklyn Woman Found In Good Condition

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Brooklyn woman who had been missing for several weeks has been found in good condition.

Dana Lauren Bonanno, of Greenpoint, vanished around 11 p.m. on July 22 after sending her mother a text message that read, "I'm scared."

Police said the 33-year-old had been admitted to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens and was discharged Tuesday, 1010 WINS reported.

Bonanno's mother, Donna O'Connor, posted a message on a Facebook page dedicated to the search effort thanking everyone for their support.

"Dana came home yesterday. The outpouring of love and best wishes has been overwhelming. We understand that everyone wants a confirmation that she is well and wish that at this time everyone respect her privacy and ours. Thank you so much for all of your comments," O'Connor wrote Wednesday morning.

It is unclear why Bonanno had been hospitalized.
