Police Release Sketch Of Gold-Plated Chalice Stolen From L.I. Church
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Nassau County have released a sketch of a gold-plated, sterling silver chalice that was taken from a Rockville Centre church.
The chalice was last seen on September 22 and police believe that it was stolen from St. Agnes Cathedral between then and September 28. It was taken from the rear closet inside the cathedral.
The cup also features a platinum cross and a wedding band is attached to it. It has a description from 1962 that reads "Dear Jimmy, Love Mom and Dad."
