Police: Long Island Garbage Truck Driver Found With Oxycontin, Marijuana
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A garbage truck driver under contract with the Town of Islip has been accused of driving while his ability was impaired by drugs.
Police said 32-year-old Michael Maglione was arrested Monday after failing a roadside inspection in Brentwood.
During the inspection, police determined Maglione was high on drugs.
Police said he was also in possession of Oxycontin, Tylenol with Codeine 3 and marijuana.
Maglione has been charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Maglione's truck was placed out of service for numerous safety violations.
