Police Identify Suspect In Fatal Shooting Of Brooklyn Woman

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have identified a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a young mother in Brooklyn.

Nicoleia Taylor, 24, was shot in the courtyard of the Lafayette Gardens Houses public housing development on Dekalb Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Taylor had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead a short time later at Brooklyn Hospital.

Police believe the single mother of two was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of two groups.

Police have released a photo of a suspect, identified as 21-year-old Corey Brown, wanted in connection with the shooting.
